Need Monitor Recommendation

Post by cyamnick »

Hi,

I just joined the team, and have been running FAH for several days, using the EM3 monitor. After changing a few of the EM3 settings, all my work was lost and new work was downloaded. This was discouraging, but I decided to get rid of EM3 and start over.
I have the command line client running, and would like to use a monitor to keep track of things. Can I get a recommendation? I'm using WinXP. Thanks,

cyamnick

Hey cyammick, glad to see everything worked out, and you joined the forum.

EMIII should not be able to change anything that would cause FAH to error out. I have been using it for 4yrs with no issues.

Do me a favor assuming your using windows go into

C:/Program Files/FAH and post a file here called FAHLog.txt.

That can shed some light on to what happened.

You did turn in a workunit but it was for 0 points. So something went wrong. FAH has a habit of turning up any system instability.

At first I was blaming the monitor, but realize now that the program itself was failing. I thought that the console version would be easier to run than the gui, but my system seems to disagree. I changed to the gui, and it is running fine now. Hopefully I'll be making a contribution soon. Thanks for the help,
