Ah, I'm way behind, welcome to the team!
I had been using the SMP client for a little while but have been doing a lot of system changes lately. The 680i board that I have my Quad core in doesn't seem to work correctly in Linux.
SMP is without a doubt the way to go for points. I'm really curious to see how well ATI's R600 does in folding as it might be the way to go.

With running a VM though, would I get less folding performance compared to having a machine dedicated to folding? Especially since I'm already hard on the rig that VM would end up being installed on.dicecca112 wrote:setup a VM in windows

Well, I'm a linux guru so installing Linux doesn't bother me.
