This is some good news! Finally a Windows SMP client is on the horizon!

I created a bitch thread about the lack of SMP over there also - dont have the link but they said the same thing in there. I will believe it when I see it though :) They should have done the smp clients at the same time in my opinion. Heck they still say to run the linux one on 4 or more cpus rather than duals because of some problems - never heard of any, but thats what they say :)

If you will take a look at the server status page on server 65.63, you can see, they either have some windows SMP workunits being being issued inhouse/beta or are close to starting to issue them. =D>

I found this part interesting:
With the release of v6, we have also planned some adjustments to the point system. It's clear that points are important to everyone. Points are important to the science, as they encourage people to do the science. However, this means that the points scheme has to be aligned such that donors who optimize their points optimize the science of what we need too.
Wonder what that will mean for team points and our settings.

Windows SMP is good news. I have 8 CPU cores ready to get after it. I've been running the standard CPU client on my machines since they are preaching about using 4+ cores.
