Team milestones

Post by Bwall »

Great job guys! We just moved into 150th spot and we'll be moving several more before the end of the month.

We also had, as far as I can tell, a LR record day yesterday, and we already have a LR record month!

Keep up the great work!!! :drinkers:

damn... Finally broke 30k in a single day!  32,017 points in 24 hours super nice!

The team has also passed up four teams in the past 24 hours and has moved up FIVE spots in the past week! This is huge as we are now finally in the TOP 150! We have also been holding off Team ATI who is right behind us!

We will be passing up Team BFG Gaming (the video card company) and HardwareOnline (Another Review Site) in the next seven days!

Great work everyone! 17 of the top 20 folders are back folding, so that is great!

I ordered the parts for my E6400 machine last night. 99.5% dedicated folder, 0.5% file server. Should put me at about 3700ppd.

Good job team!

Me? I ran into some pretty good deals. My wife will probably kill me when she finds out I'm building "another computer" after just building my gaming rig less than 2 months ago... but as long as I get things up and running before she kills me, I can still put up the points. :)

got that E6600 up and running but after all the updates(XP) i was running late so just loaded the GUI interface to fold. I would like to let it fold for a week or so and rack up some points like DaIceMan(you rock man!) whats the best folding setup to run on it?

best way to earn points is with the SMP. I've got the Linux SMP running inside of VMWare right now... but install is not the easiest thing in the world. once the windows SMP is up and running (in beta, says you might lose work/points) it will easily be the way to go.

I've got my E6600 oc'd to 3.4. My new folder will have an E6400, probably oc'd to around 2.4 (higher if I can make it stable with the board I'm getting). Both of which will be running SMP. And then my daily driver internet/email/download machine, which is running graphical... but I'll probably go to no nonsense text only for it some time this week.

Or just use the windows Open beta

As I stated "best way to earn points". The site for the Windows Beta clearly states, if you are concerned with losing work/points not to use the Beta (can't find that link this early in the morning). Once the Windows SMP is out of beta, it will be the easiest way for most people.

smp

Post by Darkstar »

OK, got it up and running, it downloaded a huge project though(500,000), messed up the first setup (on the team number:shock:) and every time i tried to reload it, it came up with no team number. figured out i could just delete the client.cfg file then start fresh. Then the Fah Monitor wasnt working, wouldnt show anything after following the directions for the smp setup. Manually selected the client and reloaded and its up.
Task Manager shows 4 FahCore_a1.exe's running and 100% CPU usage.

Took some dust off my old Celeron 1.7 Ghz (just when he thought I was gonna leave him alone), gonna leave it on 24/7 for a few hundred extra points.
