Auto Update= profile loss?

Operating Systems
Windows, Linux, Solaris, Red Hat, etc.....32 bit or 64 bit.

Auto Update= profile loss?

there was recently an auto update for windows XP that the dell got, but when it reloaded, the admin profile was erased due to some kind of error(i didnt get to see it) so it reloaded the defaults, is this familiar to anyone??? :prayer:

Nope didn't get dinged on that, BUT the VISTA update wiped out my home network. :cry:

but really i feel sorry for you stev. at least you dont have every thing saved on a file server like me. if my networks out, all my computers are out :shock:

Yes, after the update I could not log on to one of my servers under the administrative account. $*^#& M$

oh, the settings are back to normal somehow :shock: not sure if it was rebooted, as i dont exactly oversee it all the time
