Have you tried to install via the text view anyway?

What are your system specs? HDD space, 32bit /64bit, GFX card etc.

i am running a amd 3000+ 64Bit. 160Gig HDD 60 is for the windows partition. about 40 unallocated and about 60 formated to linux ext3. w/ a Gforce 5700LE. 1 Gig of ram.

when the dvd boots up the gui screen comes up with a black box on the upper left hand side divided into three boxes data, prog and another at the bottom with that says error 3. then when i press a key on the keyboard it drops to the text view. and i typed in linux and then it comes up with a message saying "not enough memory to load specified kernel"
