I found that you have to have your partitions already set before installing either. make sure you have a fresh install or still working install after setting up the partitions, then install linux. IF you don't windows cock-blocks linux from booting. Linux however will give windows a chance. I say thats not a level playing field lol.

ok so I got it working on my 9600!!!! now to get it folding. :finga: Beryl Wiki Walkthrough use this walk through but dont' install the graphics driver part the open ati driver works better. just do the steps in that and it all should work out well. I know cuz the other walkthroughs had something that caused them to not work and this one did. So good luck to all. Btw I'm loving Ubuntu wireless works unlike in suse for me at least. Though my bros comp we are now switching to suse 10.1 and going to get ti running beryl for fun.

dont know if you saw this or not but you cant install using that guide...

WARNING - kiba seem to have closed their cvs repository and so you can't follow the guide.

have to find the deb file elsewhere.

well I found the deb file and found that it wont' work properly because I don't have xgl installed. which is funny because beryl is working. I had xgl installed before but when I resinstalled I guess I left that step out now I need to know how to only install xgl and nothing else since everything else I want is working. kiba dock needs xgl to work correctly it looks bad otherwise.

anybody know where I can find system requirements for 6.10/7.04 and beryl so I can see if my geforce 4 ti 4600 can be dual booting it also? since I"d like to dual boot linux on that one. Also I for fedora core 6 but I hear you have to install fedora core six and hope that it works before you know if it will lol.
