BartPE in Vista

Post by BiGg RiE »

Hi all Ahh.. I call on the legit reviews knowledge bank for assistance in yet another time of need..

Ok, so i have a vista laptop that I deleted the entire Adobe section in regedit by mistake. When i did it i got abunch of error messages saying that I couldn't delete a key while doing something else. I get the bright Idea that rebooting might just help remedy the situation.

Now vista won't boot I can't recover using the vista disk or the toshiba recovery console that came with the lappy basically I'm screwd.

I have no problem reinstalling vista but I really need to get some files off the system befor the format.

Is there any utility that will allow me to see and copy the files in my system like bartpe boot disc. I need something that will boot from a cd or dvd that will allow me to copy the files to my thumbdrive.

Please help!!! [-o< [-o< [-o<

you could hook up the drives as slave drives in another machine and then copy the files you need to backup over to that other machine.

BartPE should do that, haven't tried with vista yet. You could also try Knoppix boot disk.
