Vista 32-bit overclocking
Is it even possible to overclock when using Vista? I have tried to OC without success. Nothing seems to work, is it due to the OS?

Yes it is? I think vista would have little influence over the overclocking, execpt for benchmark stability?

Depends if you are trying to faux overclock using an in windows utility or doing it properly through the BIOS.

Some medium OC here on Vista 32 no problems at all..

Vista may be more sensitive to OCing because it's a bigger OS, but OCing should virtually be the same. Meaning, whatever's 100% stable in XP should be 100% stable in Vista. Maybe you weren't completely stable in XP.

Actually, I never tried to OC in XP. I just upgraded a few months ago and installed full Vista 32. I have an Intel 975xbx2 mobo w/Intel Q6600. I have not been able to raise it just slightly. If I only change the FSB to go from 2.4 to 2.5 ghz it will not boot to Windows. I have tried many different ways, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know if I can bring it in somewhere to have it OC'd?

It shouldn't matter which OS you are using if you overclocking in the BIOS...
