DreamScene Lameness

Note: My intent with this thread is not for everyone and their mother to whine about DreamScene, say it's "useless" or "I don't use it so I dunno." If that's all you have to say please find another thread!

Now, as for the actual problem.

I have two monitors: an Acer AL2216W 22" @ 1680x1050 and a ViewSonic VA721 17" @ 1280x1024. When I had a single 7900GTX videocard, I could run DreamScene (same one of course) on both monitors. I upgraded to a 9800GX2 for DirectX10 goodness and now I get this when trying to enable DreamScene:

"Windows DreamScene cannot run because the computer is currently using more than one video adapter."

Soooo, what exactly is wrong with drawing animations on the desktop using more than one adapter? I know the 9800GX2 comes across to the OS as more than one card. Is there a way around this?

Are you using both monitors? Is the 9800GX2 in SLI mode, and is it your only card?

If SLI is disabled on the nvidia control panel (is it set to enabled currently?), do both monitor outputs still work?

This has reached a new level of lame. I managed to fit my 7900GTX in, but DreamScene (which ran fine on a 7900GTX with both of these monitors) says it will not run with dual display adapters. I know that is the reason because it can't be framebuffer/texture support. If a 7900GTX can do it (512MB memory) then a 9800GX2 (512MB mirrored across two GPUs) should be fine.
