Free Macintosh Tech-Support Website Announces Support for Ne

Post by newstech »

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- MacOSX.com, "The Answer to
Mac Support," announces their free technical support will include Apple's
newest version its operating system, OS X (Tiger) 10.4. "The new version will
be released on April 29th, and MacOSX.com will be there to handle any support
issues," commented Scott William, founder of MacOSX.com.

Two months ago, MacOSX.com launched the unique service of personal tech
support for Mac users, providing one-on-one interaction between a user and a
technician. This free service has been met with great enthusiasm from Mac
users who were tired of searching for answers and just wanted help with their
problems. "We cover just about anything related to Macintosh, including
Windows and Linux systems," says William. "Whether you want to connect, copy
files, print, scan, or anything else; if there's a Mac computer involved,
MacOSX.com has you covered. We're also proud to include Mac's newest version
of their operating system into our fold."

While a virtual army of enthusiastic volunteers provides MacOSX.com
visitors with free support, MacOSX.com also sports a 29,000-member community
forum. This forum has proven to be a great source of problem solving and
discussion due to its think-tank-like group setting. Indeed, many users visit
the forum and find their question has been already answered. "The community is
invaluable in providing feedback, problem-solving, and even recommendations on
hardware, such as what digital camera will work best with your printer. Plus,
the techs just love helping people; I know I do." further comments William.

Launched in October of 2000, MacOSX.com, in addition to their free
technical support, also provides low-cost services including e-mail, web space
for uploading photos directly from iPhoto, FTP, Virus, and Spam protection,
and an array of other services. According to William, this is just part of the
overall customer-friendly attitude: "We see ourselves as not only a valuable
free resource for Mac technical problems, but also as a low-cost .Mac
alternative for many Macintosh services. Truly, we want MacOSX.com to be the
place people think about whenever they have an issue with their Macintosh
computer."
