Vista lag after suspend

It seems like everytime I boot my PC from Standby mode it takes windows 2-3 min to allow me to use internet explorer, file explorer, etc.
Now I can start playing an MP3 immediatly, open a game almost as fast. It's just when I try to launch IE and such there's this huge lag. Seems like anything I do that calls on explorer.exe lags like this.
Am I the only person who's experienced this?

it's happened to me differently but I know what you mean on this..its only happened to me when I've tried to open a prog or game from my quick launch area..includes, windows explorer, firefox, everything..It happened to me in Vista AND XP..not sure why it does it though, would take 1-2 minutes to acknowledge ..haven't seen it in a while either but i have experienced similar if not the same issue..i say similar since I never use Stand By..it's done it on it's own lol ..Start menu was fine, just the quick launch was weird..theres even times when i use the right click on the desktop and it take s almost a minute to come up

I don't think that's it as I don't have a problem any other time, ran Prime95 stable for 24 hours, and memtest shows no trouble with the circuit. I think its either a APCI problem or hard drive lag. I ordered two of those WD Black drives to put in RAID 0, well see if that helps at all.

After installing my new RAID 0 array I'm not having the problem anymore.
