I cant access my Vista Ultimate SP2 after I installed New Motherboard and Processor. It restarts constantly. XP SP3 is running fine. Both OS is installed on different HDD.
Dont think I have ever had an OS liking the motherboard being swapped on it. There are certain things its looking for and its not there. Have you tried to repair the Vista install with the install disk?

I've never bought a new CPU or Motherboard without reinstalling Windows...Actually I thought that was sort of an unwritten rule. I'm not so sure the Repair will work but hey..give it a shot.

prolly have to reinstall, i suggest getting 7, you can change CPUs, motherboards, videocards, and be golden, not have to install a single driver yourself.
(with 7 RC1 i went from EVGA 750i to Intel X38 back to 750i and back to X38 with a core2 to MSI 770-G to Gigabyte 790X with an Athlon II all on the same installation, never installed any drivers either)
