Windows MCE

I tried using an ATI TV Wonder Elite in one of my PC's and it was SUPER slow and I never could get the remote to work. I don't care much for ATI's interface. I since decided to make a media center PC and installed Windows MCE. Everything works fine but when I try to watch TV on it, I get an error saying "decoder error" (I forget the whole message). I installed the ATI software and it works better than on the other PC but I still like the WMCE interface much better. Any ideas? The tuner card seems to work correctly with the ATI interface and I have all of the latest drivers etc installed. I can't find any similar info on the net and I didn't have a whole lot of time to mess with it last night.

I have pretty much had it with ATi Multimedia and/or TV cards. You might want to consider a Hauppauge TV Tuner that is built to work with MCE.

I have found the PVR-150 superior to anything that ATi calls a TV Tuner. I'm still using an outdoor antenna and it's amazing the lack of reception ATi TV Tuners have; hence the reason why I have to question them being any good. ATi's TV Tuners are more like "see what your cable connection has" instead of a real TV Tuner.

I figured it out. I had to download a MS utility to set the default encoder. Figures it was a MS issue, not an ATI issue.
