XP Pro cd-key issue

Several copies of XP have come through my house for various pc issues my friends have. Well, one dude took his tower with my copy of XP in it without either of us knowing and hes moved away and I think I have his copy here (with no key) and my key is on my disk. What can I do now that I want to reformat my pc?

Right-click on my computer and choose properties - it should give you the key (I think).

it doesn't give you key just a serial. But there are system suites out there that will give you your key. Give me some time and I'll find one

Belarc Advisor will list all CD-type keys asspciated with your system.
The actual disk you use does not matter...just use your own CD key with his disk, as long as it's for the same version of windows..

thanks for the time in to this, thats the problem. I dont have ANY cd key at this point, i put my ms sticker on MY copy of XP and its in his cd drive. Cant get in touch with him. I have another xp cd with NO key(all are authentic and legit, no pun inteded lol).
Yes, both are XP Pro sp2

Belarc ADvisor, as i said...free download, and you can print out the report afterwords with all your cd keys....all software keys.

cool, got the key from my pc. hopefully it will work with this other copy of xp....
