Setting up linux

are all the game that are made for windows compatible.
and awhile back my bro told me linux was hard to work with but was stable as !@#$(this was like 4 yrs ago)

Not by a long shot, unfortunately. If the game was made for OpenGL, then you can get it to work. If it has DirectX though, you can only make it work through an emulator that really cuts performance.

This is true for most versions, but it is more getting used to a different os for the hardness part. There are versions that are more like a windows interface, and those that are more like a graphical DOS. You're pick.

~75% of the Linux distros out there are easy to install, some are harder than others to configure to your needs
I keep on recommending SuSe Linux........it's very easy to install and configure, and if you want the *nix experience, you can do that too.
An Linux is NOT stable as !@#$ --> An OS is only as stable as the user ;)
If you try Linux, be carefull when your logged in as"root" (admin)
