what can you guys tell me about MCE2005?

how compatible is it with apps and drivers? how stable is it? how does it perform compared to windows xp?

i have never had any problems with windows XP, it is so flawless, stable, and fast. i love it. im skipping vista for now but MCE2005 has me curious.

all details and info would be appreciated :) THANKS

MCE2005 is the same OS as XP pro, the difference being the multimedia apps that come with it. It is more secure than XP home and that why you would see alot midrange desktops and laptops with this OS rather than XP Home. Also it is cheaper than XP pro.( $130 vs $190). as far as being stable, for a home theater setup linux may be more stable(think tivo, it runs on a linux OS)as a OS its as stable as any windows product. I been running it for a couple of years.
