Over the past few days, I've noticed something odd about my Vista start menu. I can't seem to use the shortcuts for "most recently used programs." For example, I use OneNote to take, well, notes during classes. However, when I click on its icon in the Frequently Accessed Programs list in the Start Menu, I get no response from the computer. The only way to get the EXE to open is to go to All Programs->Microsoft Office->OneNote.

I've tried clearing the checkbox for "show a list of recently opened programs" and then putting the checkbox back. This just started for no reason at all. And no, I do NOT feel like "just reformatting" unless absolutely necessary.

Sorry this isnt about your broken menu, but ONENOTE...... holy crap i have had this, this entire time!!!!! WOW seems interesting for college notes. WOW

Hey I'm a college student too I bought my laptop specifically for using OneNote 2007 in class (my friends are like "You spent $900 to take notes, are you insane!?!?! I said "When I get good grades and you don't or you come to me begging, I'm going to laugh at you." See sig "Schoolwork Laptop" for the idea of what I'm using for "notetaking," just upgraded to Vista Ultimate and 2GB RAM!) I sound like a machine gun while typing though and some of my classmates don't appreciate that. Well you then I said.

Also, note that OneNote 2007 kicks the crap out of OneNote 2003. 2003 was a "we're going to try this to see if people like it" program. 2007 is a "We're serious we're going to make a real program this time" attempt. There were some pretty lame limitations in 2003, like the inability to RE-ORGANIZE TABS at the top, and only one "Notebook." In OneNote 2007, you can share Notebooks, have more than one, move tabs and a bunch of other great stuff.
