I was visiting Xtremesystems the other night and came across a thread with this software. The thread starter/software creator just had a megaupload page for the software. Here are some screenshots of the program and an actual website/download location for the software. While there are still some issues with the software I think overall it's pretty cool. Kudos to hersounds at Xtremesystems for this software.
I don't know why it's called the Overclocking Panel. There is no place to make on-the-fly adjustments.
The performance test is the "rating" that Vista/Windows 7 assigns your PC. This app shows you what your PC actually scored in each of the tests that Windows runs.
There's some error text that looks like a error in the programming code, and an option to send the error data to them. Hopefully with lots of people using it they'll get enough of this data back to help them fix whatever might be wrong.

So doesn't look like anything we can do to change that. I've tried downloading it again and it does the same thing.
Maybe it will get fixed in an update as you mentioned. I noticed that it is reporting the memory usage wrong. It tells me I'm using 10% of my system RAM and Everest and Windows Sidebar are saying 20%. Nonetheless given some time I can see this becoming a nice application.
Have you tried right clicking and running it as an Administrator?
Yeah, I saw that. Not sure what's going on. When it opens it shows v1.1 but if I right click and go to properties, details tab, it shows v1.1.7.0. Either way it works fine under 64bit W7.
