The first release candidate of Mozilla Firefox 1.5 is now available for download. Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Release Candidate 1 is intended to allow testers to ensure that there are no last-minute problems with the Firefox 1.5 code. There will be at least one more release candidate before the final launch of 1.5.

Firefox 1.5 introduces several new features, including an improved software update system, faster Back and Forward navigation, a feature for clearing private browsing data, drag-and-drop reordering of browser tabs, a redesigned Options/Preferences window and better popup blocking. Web standards support is also improved, with support for Scalable Vector Graphics, JavaScript 1.6 and more CSS. Accessibility is also better (including new DHTML accessibility features), security has been enhanced and there's now greater support for Mac OS X.

Has anyone noticed in 1.5 that when you click on a link it opens the page in a new tab now, instead of a new page?
Thank you Mozilla Corporation.....Just what I wanted :)

Is the release candidate 3 more recent than the version 1.5 available on the mozilla web page?
http://www.mozilla.com/

I've got the version 1.5 that I downloaded from the mozilla site above and it is working great with my two favorite extensions: AdBlock and NoScript. I think these two extensions should be DL'ed by everyone!!! They are great at filtering out and blocking all of the crap that is on the web.

no RC3 is pre 1.5, as for the adblock, many of the sites you enjoy like this one are paid for by ads. so i choose not to use it, and from time to time even click the ads just to create a little revenue. The script on... yeah i use that.

What does the noscript addon do?

I like the weather add-on for the bottom of the screen. just kinda handly. I also like how it auto looks for updates for the extensions. that is nice.
