Multi-user Excel

Post by Dragon_Cooler »

What i am wanting to do is be able to have a multi user enteract environment on one single excel file. Is that possible?

e.g. User 1 edits cell A1, while user 2 is logged into the same file they will see the change that user1 made. I tried just sharing the file and making it writable but it doesnt allow multiple users.

Not that I am aware of. When one user is in the file other users can opne it but in "read only" mode only. They will not see any changes made by the original file opener. A database would be more suitable but there are problems if multiple users are trying to update the same record. Realtime updates don;t occur either but if the view is refreshed it will show the update.
