How to Setup a Password Protected Blog

Post by dicecca112 »

A couple friends and I do a lot of email passing. Basically I write what's on my mind and my friend comment. Sort of a support system. I always find my close friends talking to each other and it would help them if what I write is in a central space.

Is there way I could set up a blog, so someone could just login via a username and password and they can read?

I know I could do a normal blog, but I don't need every Sally Joe and Dick reading my personal feelings, and inner workings.

So any suggestions?

Just make a regular password protected website with your text on it? I dunno much about blogs, haven't read a single one of them! :P
AMD Opteron 1224SE "Santa Ana" = DFI Lanparty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G
Crucial Ballistix 4x1GB DDR2 800 = Corsair CMPSU-750TX
Sapphire 4870 1GB = Sceptre X20WG-Naga 20" = Logitech X-530 5.1
Seagate 320GB (SATA II) x2 = Samsung SH-S203B (SATA)

In most blogs you can add your text without publishing it, so you all can put in your comments without actually publishing them. And you could read them only when logged in with your un/pwd.

What blogging software are you going to use? Will you be hosting it on your own website or will you be using a service like blogspot?

I use wordpress for mine and I am pretty sure you can password protect the posts.
