Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
I'm currently running the FF Beta 4 on my Ubuntu Beta drive now and everything seems to works extremely well...............
Only issue I'm having is some of my favorite extensions haven't been properly update to work with the build yeat, but that will come in time.............

I've always hated Firefox and always will...no I take that back, I huggles FF B4, in fact I'm replacing it (except for my damn MSDN downloads!)
Yes, that's right, the IE guy is switching!

You should get the IETab firefox plugin for your MSDN woes. IE engine in firefox for when you need it.

That's actually a pretty cool little addon, I can filter out MSDN to the IE Rendering Engine and whalllah, my downloads work! :D

Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
Finally decided to give it a try, seems to be working well. Lots of nice little touches here and there. I do have the feeling it's spying on me though with the smart bookmarks...
J/k
Haven't really gotten to try out all my plugins though as its bed time so that'll have to wait.
Still needs some work apparently though because just opening and surfing a bit, I got all this crap spit out on the terminal
Never did crash on me though...

I use the IEView extension for pages that won't work, or won't display properly in firefox. Right Click, View in IE. done.

Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
I DL'd it yesterday, but I still haven't gotten around to installing it on Ubuntu Beta yet, maybe later today.....................
Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
Is the FF 3 better than FF 2.00.12?

Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
I really don't notice a big performance difference between the 2, but I'm running FF2 with XP and FF3 with Ubuntu 8.04 Beta, so it's hard to say.
Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
You are running FF 3 on UBUNTU?

Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
The latest Ubuntu Beta update now includs Firefox 3 Beta 5 as the default. On the 24 of this month when the finial release of the new Ubuntu 8.04 comes out Firefox 3 should be included as the default...............
. It sure would be nice if Firefox 3 would go finial along with Ubuntu...............

Re: Firefox 3 beta 1 - What you think?
24 April I think is the release date for the finial release, you might want to wait for it to save yourself a bit of work................
Although I've found the Beta to be extremely stable, it hasn't locked up or crashed on me at all yet (except for what I caused through stupidity) that I can remember..............
