Futuremark have released a new version of PCMark. They are not calling it 2007 or 2008, but call it "PCMark Vantage"

There's a free version to download, but this will only allow you to run it once and I don't know if it will even give you a score!

Here's the bad news. It will only run on Vista!

Minimum System requirements

* Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent AMD processor
o SSE2 support
o 256MB of graphics memory
o Shader Model 3.0 compliant graphics card for the GPU image manipulation test
* 1.7GB of free hard disk space (NTFS File System)
* 1GB of System Memory
* Microsoft Windows Vista - Ultimate / Home Premium / Home Basic / Enterprise / Business

It's a 664MB download, which you can get here
http://www.futuremark.com/download/pcmarkvantage/

It has support for single core, dual core, quad core and also V8.
The basic edition which they claim will allow you to run it multiple times, get a score and also publish it on "ORB" will set you back $6.95

I'm downloading it now and if I have time this evening, I'll install Vista and see what's it's like.

Feel free to create a "Official PCMark Vantage Results Thread"

Trust me I would tear them a new one if they dare to do that. Fios is making huge inroads in my home town, Comcast is losing a ton of business, a politely placed "I think I'll call Verizon" has got me many many concessions from Comcast
