I have had the game about 2 months and never played it. Now I want to. BUT,
its running like superspeed and skips..
If I restart the computer its fine. Works fine. When I leave the computer on for a duration it does this when I try to start the game. Any ideas?

Erm, try running fraps and see what is happening to the framerate when it goes crazy.

Keep an eye on how much RAM/CPU are being eaten by standard type background tasks before you play, possibly something could have a memory leak and keep sucking up RAM?
