just cant figure it out what the problem is but my game use to work fine but now all the sudden when i try to fight a battle the game always ends up CTD or even resetting my computer. I tried changing my settings and that doesnt work plus when i try to play a battle some of the units are black and/ or flicker, in addition sometimes the sound effects dont work. i get no error message after a CTD and my video card is working properly and even runs with no problems with other games except rainbow six las vegas. i believe that it is a driver conflict or something of that sort because everything worked fine before. Plus it seems now the it CTDs less and just crashes my computer and rests my comptuer.. Can anyone plus tell me why my game is messing up.

I can't tell you why... But I can try and help you figure out a fix

Download driver cleaner pro, install it, uninstall your video drivers (via add remove progs on the control panel), boot into safe mode and run DCP.
Tell it to remove any ATI drivers that are on the list, and for fun, tell it to do nvidia too.

Reboot then install your graphics card drivers again. See if you get any more problems after this.

Thanks for the quick response i tried that and it did not solve the problem. Is it possible that it could have something to do with being that comp is dual core too?

OK, next you should check out the event viewer in the control panel (in the administrative tools 'folder').

Look under the system and application logs for warnings or errors If there is a recurring error message/warning in the logs, see if they have an error code or if they all say the same, post the error text on here.

Try running ccleaner.

Then run the registry fixer in there. Back up your registry then let it fix all of the problems it finds.

Were these problems since a recent ATI driver update by any chance? If so have you tried going back to the driver that worked before?

sry for such a delayed reply. I will run the ccleaner and see if that does it i hope so. I think it has to do with a driver installed or some software, i suspect it has something to do with Gears of Wars because i know be4 that game was installed i had no problems with total war: kingdoms and plus when i installed GOW the game made me update my drivers in order to play that game. So i will try to roll back drivers and uninstall Gears or War, hoppfully that does it

Hopefully it one of those will fix it.
