Yet again, I'm turning to good ol' LR for some advice.
This time, I'm in search of a Vector Illustration app, and I've seen many (Adobe Illustrator, MS Expression Design, Corel, Xara, etc.), all of these are not free (or anywhere near free for that matter).
So I'm looking for something along those lines that would be free, if it is shareware and does not expire (after 30-day trail or whatever), that's fine, I'll check it out.
Any help is appreciated!!!

Yeah I originally got into opensource because it's quicker and easier to find free software with something like "open source vector graphics software" rather than "free vector graphics software" but now it seems to be an addiction...perhaps I should join a group:
"Hi my name's Kyle and I'm addicted..."
My only worry would be being heckled by the Saget character in Half-Baked...

No problem woofd, there is also a program called Scribus I've been tinkering with but I was never able to get it to work on Windows (didn't try real hard though, I normally run Linux
). It's supposed to be a bit better if you're publishing a 'zine or something with lots of text and pics but I've always liked Inkscape for posters and signs and such.
Feel free to IM me sometime if you want to talk 'shop (get it, punny, haha
)...Dan's really good as well but he's an Adobe man (I think he has opensource phobia
)

hmm, well i'm liking inkscape so far, and i don't plan on making a magazine, so I'll stick with this for the time being, and I have AIM, so I'll take down your SN and see if you're on next time i want to "talk 'shop".
btw, do you have a deviantart account or something similar, just wondering. also, my SN is almost always "w00fd06" (IM, devart).

I've got a dA account (Alathald) but only have a couple things I put up a long time ago...haven't really done much work for fun lately. Might throw some stuff up later this month if I get the inkling.
