How To Reset Adobe Photoshop CS3 To Default Settings

About a week ago the settings in Adobe Photoshop CS3 got screwed up on my laptop and I couldn't figure out how to get it back to how it was. In a last ditch effort I talked to a CS3 guru and he told me to restore the default settings... How do you do this though?

Your preferences and customizations are stored in a Photoshop CS3 preference file that can be removed. If you hold down the keys Ctrl-Alt-Shift in Windows (Command-Option-Shift in the Mac) while starting up Photoshop, then Photoshop will give you the following prompt. Be sure to hold them down before you run Photoshop CS3 and if it worked you'll see this:

I'm not sure how my settings got jacked up, but this solved it. Hope this helps someone.

This does not work for me...I have Adobe photoshop CS2 (an academic version) and Ctrl, Alt,Delete will not restore default settings in anyway I try. Anyone have an idea? Thanks!
