Changelog:
* New version with installer.
* NVIDIA ION platform.
* Intel "Clarkdale" processor preliminary support.
Now I see why they are pushing the ****ing installer package.

Get the .zip file without the damn toolbar here.

nice... well it is a free application and they need to make some money, so I can see why they did this.

I understand the motivation there, money. What I don't like is that there is no mention of the toolbar in the changelog. Just be straight up with people and generally people will understand. It's almost like they were trying to just sneak it in there. I'm sure the creator of CPU-Z is doing fine. Isn't he the software writer for the software monitoring/overclocking suite bundled with EVGA motherboards?

No big surprise, a lot of good tools have this kinda stuff ie ccleaner and daemon tools and many others that I'm forgetting. Just pay attention during installation.

ASk.com is advertising a bit much to say the least. It works though. It's been around for how long? And look how they just now got popular after over 10 years being useless (still is). I am definitely a hater of toolbars. Fortunately I think google chrome is pretty immune to them lol. I hate toolbars even more because I have a widescreen and I only get like 25% of it used on webpages as it is. (except legit reviews :-D they use it all)

I don't see what the issue is here, uncheck the boxes and continue the install. If you want to keep using the tool, the developer has to do something to subsidize his work.

My qualm was with the changelog information, or lack there of. I was just telling people to keep an eye out. When I install a program I've been using for a long time (ala Spybot) I just click next/agree as fast as I can.

A good program that now offers a user to install bloatware.

Been sitting on CPU-Z 1.40 for the longest time.

don't see what the big deal is, only system builders use it, and system builders know to use 'custom installation' and uncheck things like that anyway, i personally love the installer, makes things a lot easier
