I have a PDF file I need to change or better yet remove the password to.

Is there a free program that will do it?

There was once a FREE PDF converter on-line that actually took the locked PDF file and converted it to HTML, MS-Word, etc. While doing that, the lock was removed. This way you can edit the data in another software or be able to grab the data out of the locked PDF.

Look around for some FREE pdf tools on-line. PDF995 Edit comes to mind.

we have Adobe PDF software at work, if its not sensitive data you can email it to me and I can see if I can remove it and email it back.

It's not. It is too big for email though.

To Tim Burton,

Hey, I am sorry that there are no freeware to do this in the market.

However, you still have two ways to solve the problem:

1 Use PDF Password Remover, just right-click the PDF file, select Remove Restrictions or Remove Restrictions & Save as... from the shortcut menu.

2 Use PDF to Word Converter directly. As this coverter can remove the non- copy restriction when convert from pdf to word. Then you don't need to type word by word manually.
