What security software do you use?

And why? I heard the 2009 Norton was really good, low on system resources and all unlike its predecessors.
I know some people are still using free stuff (zone alarm with avg/avira/avast). Both AVG and Avira have missed a trojan on my system that was a pain to remove manually, so I use BitDefender now and I love it.
What security suites or combo'd bundles do you like best?

Kaspersky Internet Security 8. Add that with SuperAntiSpyware and I'm good to go.

I'm running AVAST as well. I'm using it because I never had problem with my pc again after i first installed it 2-3 years ago. Before that I had Avira for about a month, which just missed everything there is out there. And my first was Norton 2005 and my pc was always buisy running that crappy program, after deinstall everything was very snappy once again.

I don't know if norton has changed since then, but as long as AVAST is working I'll stick with that.

Avast on my desktop w/Windows 7 RC1, Norton Anti Virus 2009 on desktop and laptop (both XP). NAV 09 HUGE improvement in speed and amount of system resources used over previous versions.

I've tried both Avast and AVG, and I use AVG on all my systems.
I don't use Norton or McAfee suites as they're both resource hogs. AVG has a small footprint and does a good job of protection as long as your virus definitions are updated daily.
I also use AVG safe search, SiteAdvisor and Adblock Plus, which help you avoid dangerous sites in the first place.

I use AVG.I use Spybot along with it too. Both have done me very well... Norton is nothing but Poo..reminds me of that Castrol GTX Sludge commercial. Norton even pissed on my old Core 2 Duo rig and slowed it to a crawl when I tried it on there a few years ago.

I use AVG and Super Anti spyware when my friends bring me their computers for repair.
These people have no sense of security when it comes to protecting their computers from viruses and spyware.
But between those two, I am usually able to get their computers up and running in no time.

The McAffees AOL free edition expired this past month. So, this thread has bee helpful checking the FREE tools out.
Went with AVG and Spybot. The Spybot Teatime (dumb name, why is it drinking tea ?

) has good controls and other options to enforce for protection.

I've been using Avast free on my PCs because I got the paid version for my WHS a while back. It's nice having centralized updates, etc.
