Java passes C++; most popular language on Sourceforge

The Java programming language now has the most projects on SourceForge; passing C++ to become the most popular language in the open-source community.

At my tech college, I believe they don't even bother teaching you full blown C++ as it isn't as popular as it once was. They have Java courses and offer them to their graduates because a lot of businesses are looking for this stuff.

I started learning C++ and ASM, and my god is it complex!

uhh yeah, no joke.......I took Pascal back in the day ('98) and thought it was complex in syntax, but then I took a look at C++ and almost s**t myself, lol. My buddy took it and aced it, no problem. I didn't even try, lol :rolleyes:

Oy, tis a sad day for programming languages.

This must've been how the BSD devs felt like when Windows started gaining popularity.

same here, C++ isnt made 4 me, hehe
