Internet Explorer shutting down on one web site

I have been attempting to access an internet site (aussiebarbie.com.au) and when I click on a part of the home page, Internet explorer shuts down. I use the internet quite a lot and have never had this problem previously.

Is it a problem with the actual site or could it be my firewall etc.

Tell us what version of IE you are running, and specifically what part of the website shuts the browser down. This way if it is the website, we will be able to replicate the problem.

It is various websites!

I have the same problem.

Why did you post this in all these different forums? 1 is enough :)

No idea why it happens, but it has gotten worse since the updates! I used to get websites closing down maybe once every 2 days, but now it did it 3 times in the past half hour!

I have all the latest updates and use IE7. The web site of http://www.aussiebarbie.com.au opens up the home page, but as soon as I click on any area of the web site to open that section, it shuts down and gives the message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience Send Report / Don's send.

This does NOT happen on any other sites.

Sorry for the multiple posting I am a newby and after posting realised that it was the wrong section.

I use Zone Alarm firewall and AVG Anti-Virus.

I've got IE7 too, but that site works for me. So either something got corrupted, or it's something else.

And :P for Dan.

Hell the forums have closed 3 times on me today again already!

Maybe it isnt IE doing it. I ran spybot and cleaned out, ran the virus scanner and no hits, and ran norton one touch and fixed - nothing helps :(

It will close even if I am not doing anything. I can just let it sit and it will close sometimes. Its wierd.

Firefox did the same thing for me :(

I uninstalled norton systemworks and am not overclocking at the moment.

We will see if that fixes it!

Mike

Best i can say is to uninstall all the flash, shockwave, jave, etc stuff then go to the website and see if it does the same thing.
