According to MSI,this BIOS v 1D will work with an Opty 180.
I am insterested on the 185 s939.
Repeated emails to MSI have done zip,and I looked at the support table and in fact it lists the 180,not beyond that.
I have my list for upgrading done, except for this snafu.
Can anyone give opinion?????

I don't see why it wouldn't. It's just the same chip clocked a little faster. I'd get the 180 and OC it. I would be a piece of cake to get it to 185 speeds on air cooling.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they're crap but allot of their 939 boards had issues with memory. If I recall, they under-voltaged the memory subsystem making them poor overclockers.

I've never had a bad experience with MSI or Abit for that matter.
Granted there may be issues with retail boards, but think of it.
You crank out 7 or 8 million boards there is bound to be a few black sheep.
