memory with AMD

While performing a simple test of writing at 'long' addresses the addresses as value and than reading it,
I"ve discovered the following picture, dumping memory:

Every 256 bytes are OK, every 256 bytes are not OK. It is Barcelona CPU, what could be the problem?

just a wild guess here but perhaps one of your DIMM's is bad.

Try running the system with one stick installed and remove the other(s) and see if you still have the same problem. If it is one DIMM thats bad doing this with all the sticks separately will help you determine which is the bad one.

I'm 95% positive its your dimm. Unless your motherboard slot is bad I had the exact same problem on my old pc. It took me like 2 weeks to figure it out at the time. Then I got the wild idea to just take out one of them since half was bad and dink it worked.
