According to Fuad Abazovic

B1 stepping of Barcelona is able to higher then 2.8ghz while keeping its TDP "standard" (im guessing 90 or 130w)

Fuad is a known liar, I would take anything he says with a grain of salt

If it's true, that's good to hear.

its not, he's said this once before, and then AMD came out and said that it was gonna be 1.6-1.8 for the chips. He later took the story down. I really want AMD to come out with a good competitor to Intel, drive price down even more

I don't think Fuad was lying before, I think the reason AMD didn't show off B1 stepping at Computex was because they were still testing it. As bad as B0 was @ 1.6ghz it would of been worse if it was at 2.6ghz and blue screened left and right.

If they really can hit 2.6+ the performance will probably be impressive since it didn't do that bad at Computex considering the frequency it was running at.
