I am confused about the performance of an AMD 5600+ and a AMD Opteron 1220 Santa Ana 2.8GHz both operate at the same frequencies.
The thing i want to know is which one is more powerful and more overclockable
:-k

They are basically the same processor. The Opteron will most likely overclock better since (I think) only the better cores get a Opteron tag, but performance at stock settings will be the same.

The Opteron has a higher TDP, 103W versus 89W for the 5600+.

I haven't heard much about the Opterons for AM2, i don't think they caught on like they did for 939.
