It's Arrived!!

The Full Review on the Processor can be found here
After looking at the benchmarks it is clear that a 200MHz increase in the FX line boosts performance roughly 10% across the board on the majority of benchmarks used. This makes perfect sense as it truly is a 10% increase in overall frequency.

Nice review ther! This is a sweet little beast! It is unreal how good it stacks up against the competition. A 10% increase is nothing to sneeze at!

nice to see that AMD is still hanging right next to Intel's 3.4EE!

Seems like AMD has harnessed the technology to keep them very competative... and still cheaper than Intel's EE. ($750 < $999).

I see this as very good for AMD... now I'm ready for the 939-pin version!

Hi there,

I would like to know if someone has done some testing
with SETI under FX-53.

Please let me know,

David Garcia.

I haven't... what would you want to know? 1 unit time or something else?

Hi There,

Exactly, I would like to know the time a FX-53 takes to complete a SETI WU.

I have an old system, a TYAN-Tiger 1834s Dual PIII 800mhz.

I have some tricks in order to speed up my SETI Crunching time, like using the CLI version, with it I can install two different CLI SETI Instances, one for each CPU. Also have installed Ramdisk NT in order to make the crunching at speedy RamDisk, and so on...

I have seen on internet some SETI test running on FX-51, it is able to complete a WU in just 1h 40min, thats WAY too cool...

Now, just been curious, I would like to know how the 200 Mhz increment on the CPU Clock (from FX-51 to FX-53) shows when doing a SETI WU.
