Dual Core Athlon 64 Preview

Just got a link e-mailed to us about an Athlon 64 dual core review over in Europe. Looks to be real and well worth the read!

In Cinebench 2003 the Athlon64 scored 41.4 seconds, while our Intel 840 scored 42.0 seconds flat... WOW Looks like the AMD A64 dual core is running 2.4GHz and our Intel EE 840 was running 3.2GHz. Just as we reported weeks ago it looks like AMD isn't having to lower their frequencies at all. The battle for dual core looks like it just got very interesting.

I just finished building my system around a DFI LANPARTY UT nF3 250gb mobo and Athlon 64 3000+ newcastle and now I get to start saving for that.....YAY...

My point exactly! School will be out soon enough for me so I'll have more money to spend! Probably around 7-800 every 2 weeks.

Oh man, I can't wait for AMD to get their desktop Dual Core line out. Finally a fair fight between AMD and intel!
Both companies are diving into this new technology for the first time and they have each decided how they are going to go about it. It is a fair fight for the king of this new technology (and a great chance for AMD to make a big name for themselves over Intel!!)
