I've been reading around trying to see if I could get a clear answer on this, and it appears that deneb will come in a AM2+ or AM3 package separately. Unlike the rumors that I heard that deneb would have both ddr2 and ddr3 memory controllers therefore making them swappable between AM2+ and AM3 sockets...........

Anyone else bummed by this?

I was playing on building a low power AM2+ system with a decent upgrade path, but now I'm not so sure about it.............

So does anyone have any concrete evidence stating otherwise? Like I said, most of my previous post is based on rumors.

Based on my research, it appears that the first 2 processors released will be based on AM2+ only. The processors after that are rumored to have both DDR2 and DDR3 memory controllers. Just posting this in case someone else is looking for this info.

Guess this is the icing on the cake for all those who want to know.
