AMD Phenom II X4 925 910 810 805 and X3 720 710 are 95W 938 pins and supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory, so you can use an AM3 processor on either DDR2 or DDR3 boards. This is great for those that want the latest processor, but don't want to buy a new motherboard right now due to the economy.

AMD Phenom II X4 925 is 2.8GHz, 8MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X4 910 is 2.6GHz, 8MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X4 810 is 2.6GHz, 6MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X4 805 is 2.5GHz, 6MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X3 720 is 2.8GHz, 7.5MB Cache
AMD Phenom II X3 710 is 2.6GHz, 7.5MB Cache

All the above processors are 938 pins and are rated at 95W and officially support DDR3-1333 or DDR2-1066.

Triple cores have more cache? Does that mean they're native triple's (so more die space for cache) and not a quad with a disabled core?

despite the fact that md may not be able to overtake core i7's performance, I like that they offer support for both ddr2 and ddr3. it makes the cpu's lifespan a bit longer.

The X3 720 is looking quite sweet.

OLD X3 processors have issue to keep up with the dual core core 2 duo even with its additonal core because of weak achitecture. Luckily the X3 of AM3 sure is able to perform on par with the C2D but at the same time the extra core offers better performance if the apps support it.
