AMD Bringing Athlon Back - Enter Athlon II X2

Can you believe it?? AMD is bringing out an updated Athlon II X2 processor! Long live the Athlon!!

Here is a picture of our Athlon II X2 250, which runs
$87 shipped, based on the Regor core and runs at 3.0GHz. With 1MB L2 cache per core the processor has just 2MB of cache, but what it lacks in cache it makes up for with the 3GHz clock frequency. This processor supports socket AM3, which means it also has a memroy controller integrated inside with support for DDR2/DDR3 memory. Not bad for a 65W TDP part with a price tag of just $87.

Well here in Germany the 250 costs 80 euros.
And AMD seems to be bringing quite a few other Athlon II up as well

That X3 400e looks like a good middle processor to run with.
