Just got this from AMD:
As of 12:01 AM Eastern, AMD announces two new processors, the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ processor and the AMD Sempron 3400+ processor. The appearance of these two processors on AMD's pricing page will let you know that page has been updated. When that happens, you will notice price changes.

AMD offers exceptional products and determines prices based on their value. We deliver a compelling performance solution at any system price point.

Example: Sempron 3300+ 64-bit was $140… it will now be $126 and the new Sempron 3400+ comes in at $134. The X2 3800+ comes in at $354, while the X2 4200+, 4400+, 4600+ and 4800+ take on the following new prices respectively: $482, $537, $704, and $902.
Rich has been working on our 3800+ Athlon 64 X2 article all weekend and it will be posted up in the next couple hours. Thought I would share this with you ASAP though. Enjoy!

I love the new prices!

REALLY looking forward to reading that article. Also, for the impatient, Monarchcomputer has been taking preorders on the 3800+, though at $407 shipped.

Monarch has always been a little high on the new CPU's until a Newegg gets theirs in stock. Then the prices fall right in line, it's just the way it is in the retail biz.................
