Super Temps - X2 (stock hsf)

Hey guys, I haven't much chance to play with my new X2 setup yet... (4400+)
But I've being running the system 24/7 folding for LR...

What I have only noticed after all this time is my temps!
I know Folding will only use 1 core...but i'm getting super temps with only a 100MHz OC....
Look @ the Fan speed!!!!!
This system is inaudable too....
I found when going over 1.4v and running 2 cores, the temps go up! (so better than stock cooling is needed unless you want to run the HSF fan @ 100%)

I will be getting my new 7800GTX next Tuesday or Wednesday...that's when I'll watercool the proc and see what it can do :)

Ps I know my voltages look a little low (they are fine using a multimeter), will be switching to my ocz 600w beast when I get the card too

Just a heads-up for people who are gonna go dual core..... (My P4 is harder to cool!)

:gvblake -> I'll do some memory benchies when i get my card!:

Nice, you're using a DFI board right? My chipset temps are running higher than I'd like under load (around 58) and I was thinking og replacing the fan (there are several discussions about it on the DFI Street site). It's a pain because my vid card is right over top of it and throws a lot of heat at it. Yours seems to be pretty low - are you doiing anything special? What are you planning to use for H2O cooling?

LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR
My chipset temps are low there because I'm only folding.... When I stick in a GFX card and play some games, then I'm sure the chipset temps will go-up

Also I'm only running with a htt of 209MHz.... (I'm burning in my ram, every few days, I drop the rams voltage a little, give it 6-8hrs of memtest, then fold for ~18hrs a day) --> Until I get a proper GFX card, this system is just taken the place of my file server.

The chipset fan is stock, just with AS5....I'm using a Antec P160 case, which has a 120mm fan @ the lower fron and also @ the back - both are running @ about 1000 rpm..

My H2O setup is a mix&match job...
Innovatek xxflow cooler
Danger Den DDC-12V pump
Dual 120mm rad --> changing to 2 seperate 120mm Rads as using P16 case!
was using a innovatek block on x800 card, i might stick 1 on the 7800

When I overclock and add more vcore this is my temps --> see chipset!
I haven't played any games yet or ran any real benchmarks so temps will prob go higher!

Are you adding chipset voltage?...Try dropping it a bit if so....and if you can get a fan blowing air across it, small fans hate stale air!
I'll post some chipset temps when running ram @ ~280MHz in a while for you!

This is temps after ~25mins of dual prime95...
This is ram @ 265Mhz.. chipset @ 1.6v - ldt @ 1.4v
The chipset still hasn't gone over 50c....;)
My PWM IC's are getting a little toasty....but I've read somewhere that DFI uses mosfets which can cope with upto 105c.... so I think i'm still good..

Mayby the since i'm using a sli chipset the temps are a little lower?

Temps seem a little warm for the low speed and at 1.376v... but that's probably because of the two cores.. and the stock HSF.

yup...H2O cooling on the way.....fan is only running @ 1000-1500rpm....
