Which one is a better gaming CPU, AMD or Intel?

I've seen both and many versions and for me it's not the CPU today that matters. Somewhere about the i5-2500 you could push a trio of GPUs so almost all the games demand above average GPUs.

For 1080p gameplay you can start with the 1050 Ti and for more effects get the 1060.
For UHD 4K, the GTX 1080 is your first stop.

I am considering following CPUs

not spam, I am a real person concerned about it with little to no information about computer hardware.

if these are your only choice then i'd get the i3 7100. it's newer, higher stock clock speed and has hyper threading.

There ya go - I would also say if you are building it yourself then keep an eye out for deals on i5 cpu's also. You may find some deals that make it really close to i3 prices! If you are buying an already built system then I would still compare pricing but a lot of manufacturers start putting better h ardware in and raise the prices anyway at the i5 level and up.

OH and WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!!! :partyman:

Both CPUs are good for gaming, but however AMD offers the stuff at a lower price and with Intel, for playing games, you need a GPU, but with the AMD APUs you don’t need one, they are made for gaming (contains CPU+GPU)…. But still the performance differs at different types of games.

I’ll recommend AMD if you had a lower budget, but if you can spend a little more then of course go for Intel i5 and a good GPU (keeping the bottlenecking in mind)… But that doesn’t means AMD is bad or Intel is best. I’m an AMD fan :D
