I seen the announcement, but havent taken it any further!
My big question(s) is....
When will there be a G series 5000 Ryzen?
Should I wait or just stick with the 3400G?

Re: Ryzen 5000's
I would at least wait till after the October 28th (actual release is the 29th I believe) video for the new Big Navi cards. Maybe they will announce something then.
Plus the processors aren't out till November anyway.
Wonder if the 5000's would still be cheaper than Intel if they actually included a cooling solution with them.....

Yeah I didnt think about a cooler in a total cost factor!KnightRid wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 4:22 am I would at least wait till after the October 28th (actual release is the 29th I believe) video for the new Big Navi cards. Maybe they will announce something then.

But nowadays water cooling has become main stream!
A really good Air Cooler costs as much as an Average AIO Cooler!
My recent deal with my Cooler Master V8 GTS confirmed that to me!
Im not in too big of a hurry.
So far what Ive seen/read does not say anything past the first 5 CPUs!
There may be a G series coming(?) but, I dont expect anything before spring or later!
Right now price is my driving factor! When I see the 3400G at the right price I'll buy it!

Re: Ryzen 5000's
Looking to build a new main rig in the spring, leaning Ryzen 5xxx (pending reviews), also hoping that will push some of the old gen stuff lower in price... want to update my VM server, could use a few more cores, but cant throw down on a Threadripper setup lol

Re: Ryzen 5000's
I hear ya! I dont know anyone who can afford a $$ThreadRipper$$ setup! lol
Im hoping too, that the new 5000s will push the older CPUs down in price, at least a little!
I'd be happy with a 20% drop!
