The recent releases of new AM2 hardware makes me want to upgrade really soon, but since I've just upgraded my system soon to a 939-based CPU (X2 3800+) I guess I'll wait for the next generation of CPU's...or at least...till prices will go down a bit... :?

I think that if you have right now a socket 939 or 754, I wouldn´t upgrade to AM2 because the performance difference is not big. However, if you are in a older gen cpus (socket A) an upgrade to AM2 is good although I prefer upgrading to a pentium D processor.

I'm sticking with my S939 for now, the total cost of upgrading to either of the new platforums is out of my reach right now, (MoBo+CPU+DDR2 ram= $$$$$$$). I'm just waiting for the price war to start next month so I can get a X2 cheap............... :shock:
