ocing the 4200

hey i need help. bcuz when i got from 218 mhz to 219 it starts to crash after about 2 hrs of playing..
maybe its the ram?

I think your HT link might be going too much over 1000 MHZ, and that's why it is crashing. Try to lower the HT multiplier.
Also, what is your RAM speed? If you are running at a frequency over your RAM's rated speed it could also cause crashing.

well i have a crappy mobo so i doesnt show it in bios. so what shall i do?
this is even after i hit ctrl f1
and its ocz ddr2 pc2 5400

what are the temps? have you tried running orthos? once you are good and stable run some benches and show us the results vs before. The HT could be too high but your ram just may not like it that much faster. you could lower the memory multi, or give your ram a little more juice. Lots of things could get you some more but to start lower your ht to x4 or even x3 to take that completely out of the picture for now.

my mother board doesnt give me the option to twek the ht multiplier.
i have the GA-M51GM-S2G
doesnt let me tweak the volts or anything

I just looked at the online manual and it looks like you can't. I don't even know how you changed the bus speed because it looks like you can't do that in the BIOS either.

you have to go into bios anf ctrl+f1 its lik ghost bios or some bs. anyways i guess ill pick up a new mobo sometime soon. maybe the fozzconn they used to get to 3.1 gigs on LR
wonder if theres any jumpers i can alter to take of the govern.
nope dunno what to do..
