Well, it looks like i will getting AMD afterall, and you want to know why? Because i received an FX-62 processor as a gift from my folks to help me start my new build. So AMD it is then.

Here is a good AMD vs Intel test... lots of cpu

http://techreport.com/reviews/2007q1/cpus/index.x?pg=1

and as I always say... My eyes can't tell the difference...

Remember at least above 35-40 FPS (average) at the definition you usually use... :finga:

I got a X2 4200 in my main rig and my work computer has a C2D E6400. I ran Super PI on both of them (that's about as far as I can go for benchmarking at work =P) and they were pretty equal.

If I were to build a new machine, it would be hard to say which cpu I'd go with. Gun to my head, I think I would go with AMD, simply because, yes, Intel has a better chip, but for games that are out right now, I really don't think you're going to see a big difference. I'm sure once we see more games that fully utilize 64 bit and dual core processors, there may be more of a difference.
