Help to Choose Processor

Post by sleepyhollow »

Planning on owning a Socket AM2 Processor. Would like some recommendations or advice, please don't be afraid to post.

This is what I have picked so far:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2.4GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADA4600CUBOX - Retail - $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103751

Or, this one:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADA4000DHBOX - Retail - $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103868

Which one do you think is a better buy and will hold me for at least 2 years / or more?

Thanks.

The dual core 4600+ windsor is far superior and a better value imo. If you're looking for it to last at least 2 years, then I wouldn't even consider the 4000+.
